This 2010 Dodge Ram 2500 mega cab truck holds everything needed to command any type of incident. With state-of-the-art radio patching technology, this truck can take the command post wherever it needs to go.

This 2013 Dodge Ram 2500 is a true command vehicle. With state-of-the-art radio patching technology this truck takes the command post to the front lines wherever it's needed.

Engine 11

Engine 11 is a 2009 Pierce PUC rescue pumper with a compressed air foam system (CAFS). This is our front line engine with everything needed to perform rescue, extrication, fight fire and anything else we can throw at it.

Tender 11

Tender 11 is a 2012 Pierce tender nearly identical to Tender 12. Holding 2000 gallons of water with a full Darley fire pump this truck can both fight fire or supply water for attack engines. With very few fire hydrants in South Hays' district this truck is an invaluable resource saving homes, property and life that would be otherwise unsavable.

Squad 11

This is a 2009 Chevrolet Suburban equiped with Basic Life Support supplies as well as an electric combi-tool for vehicle extrication. This truck was designed as a rapid response vehicle. Able to access all types of terrain, this truck runs the majority of our first responder calls. Since most of our calls are first responder medical calls, this is one of our most used trucks in the fleet.

This 2007 Dodge Ram 3500 is designed for the offroading needs required to fight wildland fires in Hays County. With a 250 gallon water tank and on-board foam system this truck sees the front lines of many brush fires in the county.

This 2005 Ford F750 has a 1000 gallon tank, and a brush truck pump with two whip lines, a reel line, a bumper turret, and an 1 3/4" crosslay. This truck can be used for both fighting wildland type fires as well as water shuttling for drafting operations when hydrants are not available nearby.

This 2011 Dodge Ram 3500 is a multi-purpose vehicle. This truck hold fuel for trucks that may deployed for long periods of time without being able to go to the gas stations, as well as maintenance equipment for repairs and rehab equipment needed to keep firefighters fresh on long fires. This truck is also commonly used to haul the rescue and dive boats for deployment and training.

Engine 12

Nicknamed "Big Blue," Engine 12 is a 1999 Amercan LaFrance triple combination pumper. This truck integrates both a water and foam pump along with a light rescue capability protecting the residents of station 12's district.

Brush 12

Brush 12 is a 2010 Dodge Ram 5500 capable of matching the offroading demand neccissary to fight fire in Hays County. This truck is equiped with a compressed air foam system (CAFS) which allows the water to expand more by breaking the surface tension and therefore penetrate deep into the root of the fire.

Tender 12

Tender 12 is a 2001 Freightliner with a 2000 gallon water tank.

This 1999 Pierce triple combination pumper is the twin to Engine 15. With both pumping and light rescue this truck is covers district 13 in the area of Hilliard Road.

Brush 13 is a 1999 Dodge Ram 3500 capable of meeting the demands for off-roading ability needed to fight wildland type fires in Hays County.

Engine 15

This 1999 Pierce triple combination pumper is the twin to Engine 12. With both pumping and light rescue this truck is typically second out for motor vehicle collisions, structure fires and other calls requiring multiple engines.

Dive Boat (SMART)

This is the primary dive boat for the San Marcos Area Recovery Team (SMART). This is a platform dive boat with a Mercury 115 outboard motor.

Swiftwater Rescue Boat

This is a pattern inflatable (Zodiac Type) boat with a Mercury 40 outboard motor. With the San Marcos river flowing through South Hays' coverage area we have many members who have swiftwater or whitewater rescue technician certifications and this boat provides a great tool to rescue people stranded or struggling and in need of rescue in the river.

Support Trucks

In addition to our many response apparatus we have several support apparatus including:

  • A 2009 Ford E350 van for rehab and crew transport with a 12 passenger capacity
  • A 1999 For E350 dive rescue truck containing SCUBA equipment
